Soon after the close of the Second Vatican Council, the leaders of the nation’s diocesan liturgical commissions were convened by the Bishops’ Committee on the Liturgy. Their mandate was to provide liturgical formation to the clergy and the faithful of the dioceses of the United States. In 1969, the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions was formally convened and we are delighted to be celebrating our fiftieth anniversary this year. Our mission remains the same – to promote the liturgical renewal, to realize the vision of the Second Vatican Council, and to implement its reforms.
We ask you to join us in supporting the work of the FDLC. With your help, the FDLC will continue to serve Bishops and their dioceses nationwide. Your gift enables us to provide liturgical formation utilizing workshops, programs, publications, online services, and national meetings. It will help our members to maintain a national presence, to dialogue on vital issues, and to engage in regional networking.
Prayerfully consider what you can afford to give. We hope that you will be part of this effort to honor our fiftieth year and to support what we have accomplished in those five decades. If you have already donated to this year’s appeal, please accept our sincere appreciation.
All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
May God bless you and those whom you serve in His Name.
